Hiking Club Final Reflection

No comments:

This activity probably has come to an end. I have spoken with my classmate Jone who is one of the leaders of the Hiking Club and think we should begin to close this activity, due to exam pressure. I agree. I certainly love what this activity has given to me and have been inspired by the sense of work of the team leaders who have kept this club going throughout two whole years. It's true that the same effort has not been put by all of the club members. Nevertheless, I am very happy and proud of my effort in the Hiking Club. Moreover, this has been a very long activity and we have had to keep in touch with one another over a period of almost two full school years, organizing and communicating. This can be very tyring and with such a great number of members of the club messing around is has been even harder. However, a handful of us are still here untill the end I am proud of including myself in this group of members who have wanted to make the most out of the Hiking Club.

I have met all my objectives which I proposed to myself to fulfill before the activity started:

1.     Increased their awareness of their own strengths and areas for growth. (In order to do

mountain climbing one must be completely aware about what he can or cannot do. For

example, what is your ideal pace when hiking or if you prefer to walk on rocks or in field.)

2.     Undertaken new challenges (Mountain hiking is something I do sometimes on my leisure

time but I haven’t taken it seriously. As well, I always go hiking on the same mountain, making

this very repetitive.)
.

4.     Worked collaboratively with others (It is easy to get very tired when mountain hiking,

therefore, it is important to work collaboratively with others to give them strengths to go on.)

5.     Shown perseverance and commitment in their activities (There will be occasions, in which

myself will get tired too. I will still have to keep on with the activity until I finish it.)

8.     Developed new skills (Mountain hiking develops, in time, a very good physical shape as

well as an excellent psicological state, capable of keeping on with the objective no matter what

happens.)
