Reflections - Playing the Harmonica

Before the Activity

I do not play an instrument and have always been wanting to. I like Western movies, country musics, jazz, and blues. All of this together led me to want to start playing the harmonica.

During the Activity

It is not as easy as it seems, and there are thousands of different types of harmonicas, styles or techniques used by harmonica players. I therefore want to learn. I have bought an initiation harmonica, and I can see the complexity of this instrument.

After the Activity

I will be learning via on-line resources such as Youtube. There are a lot of tutorials and lessons about how to play the harmonica, for every level of performance. My main objective is to be able to play the theme song of two movies I love. One is the well-known film, awarded 5 Oscars, including the best movie, Midnight Cowboy. The other one, is a Western movie, as well very known is this genre called Once Upon a Time in the West.
