This activity which involves not only myself but my classmates and some teachers too is about going to a near village, Guernica, and helping to reforest the area. We will cooperate with an organization which will guide us in the process. I think there will be no major issues concerning the organization of the event. I am very excited with this activity and will do work as hard as I can.

During the Activity:
We were separated into different groups of 3-4 people and planted trees during all 3 hours. However, this was not the same for most groups which decided to stop planting trees at a very early stage in the activity. I am proud of myself because I managed to stay in task all along. Moreover, it was very fun to do it, I didn't feel for the most part of the time it was work or something like that. Instead, I had a very enjoyable time!
After the Activity:
Overall, the activity was a success and altogether planted dozens of trees. After the activity had ended, we were all extremely tired so we went and ate our lunch. It was a very entertaining and exciting experience, certainly much more entertaining than what you would expect from an activity which consists on planting trees... I would most certainly repeat this activity and hope that in the future we will carry out similar activities which have can help to our local area ecology as much as this one.
During the activity I have been able to cover my learning objectives, stated in my proposal form as follows:
2. Undertaken new
challenges: This is something completely new to me.
4. Worked collaboratively
with others: I will work in a group, not alone. As a team, group-work is very
important and in order to make this event as successful as possible we must and
will work collaboratively.
5. Shown Perseverance and commitment in their actions: This activity is
complementary to our efforts of changing as much as we can the ecological
situation of our local area in the Green Club. Consequently, this activity is
only part of a chain of activities we will carry forward to meet the common
objective of impacting positively our planet.
6. Engaged with issues of
global importance: Deforestation in the Basque Country is nowadays a very
important issue and I hope that little by little, with events like this, we can
change it.
7. Considered the ethical
implications of their actions: The harder we work, the bigger the benefits will
be for the reforestation of our local area. I will therefore work hard.
