I am not nervous at all and we will finally be able to show our Haunted House to the rest of the school in this Halloween Party. I think everything will go as planned and there will not be any problems at all.
During the Activity
Everything was going fine until something happened. We have placed the Haunted House on a corridor of a school and there is a big door at the end of this corridor which exits in the playground. Some younger students of the school are trying to get inside our Haunted House through this entrance so we have to be constantly keeping an eye on them.
Moreover, one of my classmates has accidentally broken the glass on the big door on the corridor. There is a lot of broken glass around the door and the teachers have told us to stop the Haunted House until we clean everything up and solve the problem.
It has taken us a bit of time but everything is back to normal now.
After the Activity
It was a fantastic experience! We all had a great time and the Haunted House was a success. Nonetheless, I am profoundly annoyed with a classmate (who was one of those who did not help at all during the organization as mentioned in the previous reflection post of the Halloween Party). When the Halloween Party ended, we were in charge of cleaning the school and the Haunted House too. We were all exhausted but we still had to clean everything up, it was our responsibility. Still, this classmate did nothing at all. The only thing he did was to sweep the floor of the corridor, which he did not do it right and soaked the entire floor of the Haunted House with water. Once he had finished this phenomenal job, after 10 minutes of turning our Haunted House into the Niagara Falls the classmate decided he had already worked enough and left the school. The rest of my classmates and I stayed for another two hours cleaning the Haunted House...
Nevertheless, on the whole, the Halloween Party has been a fantastic experience. Yes, there were problems but we managed to overcome them and ended up with an incredible Haunted House, which terrified visitors from all ages. Below, the list of the objectives I have completed during this activity:
2. Undertaken new challenges: The Halloween Party is something completely new and unique which one can only do once in his lifetime! Each year, 11th graders are in charge of it, so it will be our only chance to make the best Halloween Party as possible.
4. Worked collaboratively with others: Adding to the important skills needed to organize a good Halloween Party, communication is very, very important. Not only do we (11th graders) have to work collaboratively in order to create an excellent Haunted House, but we will have to collaborate with the whole school to organize the whole event itself.
